YOU'RE INVITED TO JOIN THE MOST EXCITING GLOBAL ART + DESIGN EXHIBITION and ARTS + CULTURAL EVENT of 2010! JOIN US to help facilitate an experimental, cross-pollination of new ideas for creative innovation in diverse locations around the world!! Dear Art Organization and Artspace Directors, Design and Studio Directors, professionally affiliated and independent Curators, Gallery Directors, Universities, Museums, Business Owners, Managers and Entrepreneurs, No matter where you are located around the world, we’d like to invite you to be a part of CURATE THIS! 2010 as a pARTicipating Venue. The BECA Foundation welcomes your pARTicipation in the largest international contemporary art + design exhibition and arts + cultural event of 2010. Read all about it on our home page at: http://www.curatethis.org. So what does it take to be a CURATE THIS! 2010 pARTicipating Venue? For this inaugural global expansion of CURATE THIS!, there is no pARTicipation fee for Venues but if you'd like to buy us a cup of coffee, you may do so here. If you wish to sponsor the development of CURATE THIS! or create a special project sponsored by your organization, please contact us at mail@thebecafoundation.org. Our efforts will bring pARTicipating Venues publicity as well as Venue listings here at http://www.curatethis.org resulting in local, national and international exposure. Don't join us just for the free publicity and promotion - JOIN US to help facilitate an experimental, cross-pollination of new ideas for creative innovation in diverse locations around the world. What we do ask of Venues is to provide a physical or online platform or safe physical exhibition space, which may be of varying linear or square feet or meters, in your Venue for the inclusion and/or exhibition of one or more works/projects by at least 2 pARTicipating CURATE THIS! 2010 artists and/or designers for any length of time between July 1 - December 31, 2010. Venues may invite CURATE THIS! participating artists and/or designers to join in a project or exhibition that is already slated to take place between July 1 - Dec. 31, 2010 or they may invite one or more pARTicipating artists + designers to create a new exhibition or project independent of an existing schedule. Venues may also be related publications and projects not typically associated with traditional physical exhibition Venues. We welcome all creative possibilities! CURATE THIS! 2010 pARTicipating artists + designers will soon have their names, contact information, websites and images of their works uploaded daily in the order in which completed submissions are received and viewable here on our website. Venues may begin contacting pARTicipating artists and designers to inquire about the inclusion of their works in one or more of your upcoming events, projects or exhibitions as soon as your Venue has been approved and uploaded here on our website. Artists + designers have been asked to refrain from contacting Venues until they are first contacted by an interested Venue or Project. Your Venue's selected artists and/or designers may not have previously exhibited with your Venue at anytime in the past. We encourage Venues to include 1 or more artists or designers from a country other than your own. Through the introduction and exhibition of works of new art + new design and related projects by artists, designers, duos, groups and collectives around the world, The BECA Foundation aims to facilitate an experimental, cross-pollination of new ideas for creative innovation in diverse locations around the world. We do require each Venue to submit a basic application (see below) along with several images of their proposed site so that we may assist them during their registration process. Each Venue and Artist/Designer will also complete an Artist/Venue agreement that spells out specifically the agreement reached between the two parties with regards to the exhibition of the work. Venues are welcome to include artwork sales agreements with their hosted artists and designers. This would be advantageous to both the Venue and the Artist/Designer. We expect curators, collectors and art + design enthusiasts from around the world to pARTicipate in this event. If you know other organizations, publications, galleries, directors, curators, business owners, etc. who may wish to take advantage of this rare opportunity, please send them a link to this web page. The more registered Venues we have in your neighborhood or in your online community, the bigger the positive impact on all participating Venues, Artists and Designers in your neighborhood or in your online community. Please begin your Venue application below and feel free contact us at mail@thebecafoundation.org should you need assistance or if you have any questions. We look forward to working with you!, Melissa Roberts + Kurt Schlough, Directors
